We celebrate Fair Housing Month for so many reasons!April is Fair Housing Month, marking the anniversary of the Fair Housing Act. This law was created to stop discrimination in housing based on race, color, religion, gender, national origin, family status, or disability. The Fair Housing Act guarantees all individuals the right to safe and affordable housing, regardless of their protected characteristics. Fair Housing Month highlights this principle, emphasizing that fair housing is a fundamental human right.
