Celebrate Fair Housing Month!
Everyone deserves equal access to housing. Recognizing the need, a dedicated group of leaders enacted the Fair Housing Act in the late 1960s. The law prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, and financing of housing based on race or color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, or disability. In Minnesota, the protections extend to status with regard to public assistance and gender identity or sexual orientation.
Join the Washington County CDA in promoting fairness, inclusivity, and the right for all to have a place to call home.
