Proudly Recognizing Black History Month
February is Black History Month, a time to honor the achievements of Black communities and recognize the vital connection between safe, stable housing and strong local economies. Housing stability plays a critical role in building generational wealth, strengthening neighborhoods, and expanding economic opportunities for families across Washington County.
Through a wide range of programs, the Washington County CDA’s efforts include affordable rental options for families, seniors, those with disabilities, and veterans; administration of rental assistance programs; home improvement and repair loan programs; homeowner counseling; homebuyer advising; and resources designed to promote workforce and small business development.
This month, we recommit to advancing equity and opportunity and invite you to learn more about how our programs are supporting Washington County communities today—and helping lay the foundation for stronger, more inclusive communities for generations to come
