Washington County HRA partners with Minnesota Housing on first-time homebuyer loans
The Washington County HRA is partnering with Minnesota Housing to make resources available to first-time homebuyers through the Start Up loan program. Start Up offers fixed interest rates and downpayment and closing cost loan options for eligible borrowers. The program’s home price limit in Washington County is $310,000.
“Minnesota Housing’s affordable mortgage products, combined with the support of the Washington County HRA and local lenders will help families achieve homeownership,” said Minnesota Housing Commissioner Mary Tingerthal.
For more than 40 years, Minnesota Housing has provided access to safe, decent and affordable housing and to build stronger communities across the state. In partnership with lenders, Minnesota Housing offers homebuyer loans, downpayment and closing cost assistance, a first-time homebuyer tax credit program, and home improvement loans, as well as affordable rental housing throughout the state.
