Septic Changes Occurring Throughout Washington County
A great article in the Pioneer Press this weekend covered Lake Elmo’s conversion to city sewers from septic systems. As the article notes, septic system maintenance can be an easy issue to ignore but one that causes major health and environmental problems if not done.
For other county residents with noncompliant septic systems, Washington County and the HRA are partnering to administer a program of low-interest loans and grants to modernize outdated and failing waste treatment systems. More information is available here, or by calling HRA Project Manager Kristen Scobie at 651-379-9358.
