First-Generation Homebuyer Grant Program
Are You Interested in Buying a Home in Washington County?
The First-Generation Homebuyer Grant Program assists people who are the first in their families to purchase a home.
The CDA program provides $5,000 in grants to first-generation homebuyers. The Washington County CDA grant:
- Assists Minnesota first-generation homebuyers who earn up to 115% of Area Median Income and meet eligibility requirements
- Is for homes purchased in Washington County, MN
Buyers in the cities of Oakdale and Woodbury may qualify for additional grants. Homes in manufactured home communities may qualify.
To be a first-generation homebuyer:
- You and your spouse or co-borrower have never owned a home
- Your parents or legal guardians never owned a home or lost their home due to foreclosure
